hOW MY SENIOR JOB SHADOW WENT.
My senior job shadow was very fun. I got to hang out with Mr. Mashtal for 7 and a half hours, I got to ask him questions about his job and I learned some new things that I did not know about A.S.L. And on being an A.S.L. Interpreter. The day that I job shadowed Mr. Mashtal was also the day that he had a guest speaker come to an A.S.L. Class of his (Mr. Mashtal's). He was a student attending College Of the Sequoias and he is deaf. The guest speaker spoke very fast, and I got to see Mr. Mashtal and another A.S.L. Interpreter voice for the guest speaker. The reason Why there were to translaters voicing for the guest speaker because the guest speaker spoke very fast and I learned that it can be mentally exhausting to translate one language to another language, and the guest speaker spoke very fast and I got to literally see how both A.S.L. Interpreters had to switch after every 15 minutes or so because they had to take breaks from translating.
The file below is my score sheet that Mr. Mashtal filled out to score how well I did when I job shadowed him.
